Chinese handset manufacturer Huawei plans to launch a new ICS-based smartphone in the United States, the C8820.

The phone has just popped-up at Bluetooth SIG en-route to U.S. Cellular. Although we’re not sure exactly when the smartphone hits shelves, we can see from the first press photo that it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

According to the documents filed at Bluetooth SIG, Huawei C8820 supports CDMA2000 1x and 1XEV-DO protocols and features GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It appears that Huawei will launch the C8820 in more regions, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America. For the time being, these are the only details on the Huawei 8820, so stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
