Adobe Systems has just updated the PDF Reader application for Android devices. The good news is that this is not a minor bug fix update, but a major update that brings lots of improvements and a few new features.

The most important new feature introduced within the latest version of Adobe Reader is called “Add Text” and allows users to add text to their PDF files.

In addition, with this iteration of the application it will be possible to use forms that have Field Validation, Calculation, and Formatting. Users can also organize and manage documents in Reader’s improved file organizer.

It will also be possible to create folders, copy, move, rename, and delete files. Last but not least, the Adobe Systems fixed several bugs and performance issues.

Adobe Reader 10.3.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
