Are you experiencing the same problems on your device?

Towards the end of December, Samsung started a wider roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop for its current flagship the Galaxy S5 (SM-6900F).

The new build was first spotted hitting Europe, with users in Poland and Spain reporting they have received their fair share of Lollipop sweetness.

Last month the new build reached new territories including the UK and Netherlands, and in the first days of February it landed outside the confines of the old continent in Australia.

Anyway, most of Galaxy S5 owners are probably thrilled to finally update to the latest Android build, but the thing is like we have seen in the case of other handsets that were updated, the new build brings about a few issues.

For example, we have been getting several reports centering the default mail applications on the Galaxy S5. We have tested this in our office as well, so it seems we’re dealing with a wider-spread problem.

It turns out that, after the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, the default mail app will take ages to load. Compared to the amount of time it takes us to access Gmail (with several accounts logged in), it’s quite obvious that the default mail app loads incredibly slow.

For the time being, we have no idea how common the problem is, but if you have a Galaxy S5 and have upgraded to Lollipop, try accessing your default mail app and tell us about your finds.
