Facebook will make the application officially available on Friday

Yesterday, Facebook’s new set of applications for the Android platform, called Facebook Home, leaked online, providing users with a taste of what the upcoming software will have to offer to them, but it seems that access to it has already been blocked.

The leaked app was only a pre-release version of what Facebook will deliver to users this Friday, and unauthorized access to it is no longer possible, with users receiving only a black screen on their devices.

The leaked app was extracted from the HTC First, but it was rather buggy and was also missing some of the features that Facebook unveiled for it last week, such as the Chat Heads.

Apparently, Facebook turned off something on its servers in order to block users from accessing the features of the leaked Facebook Home, at least this is what a tweet from MoDaCo founder Paul O’Brien suggested, as AllFacebook notes in a recent post.
