Owners of a BlackBerry Torch 9810 or a Torch 9860 on AT&T’s network in the United States can now download and install a new OS flavor on them.

Made available as OS 7.1.0.694, the new platform release comes with various fixes and enhancements for the two devices, but an official changelog for it hasn’t been made available yet.

This is an official platform release, but users should still back up all the data on their handsets before kicking off the update process, so as to make sure that no important files are lost.

OS 7.1.0.694 is available for download from RIM’s support website, via this link. Just make sure that you choose the file needed for your specific device. Unfortunately, it appears that owners of a Bold 9900 will have to wait a bit longer for the update to be released to them.
