The update also brings AT&T Mail into the mix

AT&T was one of the first carriers in the United States to offer LG G3 owners the option to download and install Android 5.0 Lollipop on their smartphones.

It's been a few months since the update was pushed to LG G3 owners, but Google released a few more versions of its Android Lollipop operating system, which might or might not arrive on AT&T's G3.

The good news is the carrier has just kicked off the rollout of a new update that's supposed to bring a few new features and improvements.

Keep in mind that this isn't a major update, but it's still important to install since it brings improvements to the LG G3.

The first one would be VoLTE support (Voice over LTE), which wasn't available for LG G3 owners. Apart from that, the carrier also confirmed that the update should also bring AT&T Mail.

Last but not least, it might surprise you, but AT&T has just decided the LG G3 owners would also need a Uber application. Both AT&T Mail and Uber can be disabled, so there's that.

AT&T states that the small update is now pushed OTA (over the air) and that there should be no impacts to settings or data, though it's recommended to back up your media files to an SD card or PC.
