The update is pushed OTA (over the air), in stages

A few days ago, HTC announced that both AT&T and T-Mobile had approved the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the HTC One, which meant that the upgrade would soon be available for download.

T-Mobile already kicked off the rollout of Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade two days ago and now it’s AT&T’s turn to make the same move.

XDA-Developers reports that AT&T HTC One owners have already started to receive the update OTA (over the air). Given the fact that this is a staged deployment, it may take a while until it reaches all HTC One owners at AT&T, but the good news is that the rollout has begun.

Those who have yet to be notified of the update can manually search for it by going to Settings / About phone / Software update / Update. If it’s not available yet, you may want to try later.
