AT&T has just announced it has started to push the highly-anticipated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for LG Escape smartphone.

The good news is LG Escape owners won’t have to download any third-party application in order to upgrade their smartphones, as AT&T confirms that the Jelly Bean update is rolled out OTA (over the air).

This means that users will be able to download the update by going to Settings / General / About phone / Software Update / Update Now, and follow the prompts.

According to AT&T, the update will add LG Escape “several enhancements, including changes to the notification display that groups updates from the same application together, and allows you to expand or collapse notifications.”

In addition, AT&T DriveMode will now be included on the LG Escape, which has been especially designed to limit texting while driving.
