Major carrier AT&T has just announced it offers the Motorola ATRIX 4G for only a penny to all customers who are willing to commit to a new two-year agreement.

The promotional offer is available until "Noon EST" and requires a minimum data plan. It’s unclear if the offer is available both online and in store, but customers who order the ATRIX 4G online also receive free shipping.

The ATRIX 4G was initially delivered with Froyo on board, but the Motorola deployed the Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgrade in July.

Potential customers should know that the ATRIX 4G is equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core Tegra2 processor and packs 16 GB onboard memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus and LED flash, as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
