ASUS launched the ZenWatch back at IFA 2014 with Android Wear on board. The wearable was among the cheapest smartwatches to grace the market, so naturally, ASUS saw its product become relatively successful (for a smartwatch).

Today, users on Reddit have started reporting that their favorite Android Wear smartwatch is getting the Android Wear 5.1.1 update.

This version of the OS originally shipped with the LG Watch Urbane, but it is now becoming available to owners of different other Android Wear devices.

The latest update adds a bunch of new features including Wi-Fi support, wrist gestures, always-on apps, and redesigned pull-down quick settings menu. Nevertheless, Wi-Fi support won’t be available on the ZenWatch due to hardware restrictions.

The update is currently rolling out, but as in the case of phones and tablets, it might take a while before your respective wearable gets the treatment, so be patient.
