Today, computer maker ASUS made official at Computex 2013 in Taiwan a new Android-based smartphone, the ASUS FonePad Note, which features a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen display.

The new device packs an Intel Atom Z2560 SoC (Clover Trail+), along with 2GB of RAM, and support for a stylus. The handset also sports dual front speakers and support for DC-HSPA+ connectivity, though no LTE capabilities, as AnandTech reports.

The new ASUS FonePad Note also packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, 1.2MP front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android 4.x platform loaded on top.

According to ASUS, the new mobile phone will also land on shelves with exclusive applications from the company, which will take advantage of the stylus support packed inside it for note-taking, memo, annotations, and the like. No specific info on availability has been provided.
