If you have a UniFi Controller, you can get access to the settings with the help of a PC, but users must also be able to interact with it by using the phone, and this is where the UniFi app comes into play.

With the help of the UniFi app, users can access the UniFi Controller to manage entire networks with ease. It’s also possible to provision a UniFi Access Point (AP) for basic functionality without configuring a UniFi Controller.

It’s important to remember that a UniFi AP needs a physical connection via an Ethernet cable to a network that provides IP addresses using DHCP, otherwise it won’t be accessible.
