WavePad Audio Editor Free 6.20
Dated UI that seems a bit confusing
The app doesn't come with material design or a side menu, which means that it doesn't seem that familiar to the fast majority of users. It doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions and the app's UI is quite unappealing and can get confusing.
The interface and its layout don't seem to do justice to the app's functionality and some users might even get annoyed with it. You'll find some controls on the top of the screen, but you'll need to tap on the icons and check them out since there's no suggestion on what they do. An overflow icon provides users with access to some settings that they can change on the phone.
Edit music files easily
The app is compatible with lots of audio file formats so you can import tracks from your library. From apps and even browse folders to find them. There's the option to record sound using the app and then edit it.
The app takes a while to import audio but it does provide users with a preview of the file and it displays the size. It shows you the frequency of the song and lets you cut sections of it. You can copy, paste, delete sections and there's an undo button for when you wish to return to the initial state of the audio track.
Add effects and use more tools
It has a whole section with effects that you might use, you can amplify sound, use the tool for normalization, the compressor and more. It has an equalizer with lots of presets that you can use and multiple bands.
You can also adjust parametric values like a pro. When you're done, you can save files as ringtones and share them in an app of your choice. There's also the option to export files to folders or with FTP.
You can also convert to mono or stereo channels. The app has lots of tools for recording audio, you can adjust the level or the audio format. Voice activation is also available.

Bottom Line
Design / UI4
The app has a really dated and confusing UI, it definitely needs material design and a side menu to make it easier to edit files. |
Function8
It has lots of nice tools that you might use in order to edit your files and add effects to your recordings or audio tracks. |
Security7
It needs some permissions to your phone, but it shouldn't really pose any privacy issues. |
Battery1
Consumption is quite high, so keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price7
It comes with banner ads which you can remove with an in-app purchase of 8.29$. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a good app but it needs a nicer interface.
