PowerLine 2.1
Check out PowerLine. It's a nice and clean application that displays all sort of stats on your phone, without having to setup widgets and customize their complicated features.
Fluent and clean UI with plenty of features at hand
The app doesn't come with a tutorial, although a presentation of its tools would have been really useful for getting an overview of the app's functions. Still, it manages to sport a really intuitive UI so you shouldn't really have trouble managing its features or customizing the app.
You only need to adjust it once, the app displays lines on your phone to tell you all sort of information on your device's resources and stats. It doesn't need online registration or internet connection, which is quite nice because it means that you can use the app whenever you want and wherever you are.
Customize the app on your phone
The first thing that you need to do when launching the app is to pick and add indicators on your phone. You can choose from WiFi, unread text messages or missed calls, memory, processor, storage, clock, battery temperature or more.
Next, you need to pick the position, alignment, maximum width and make some more changes. There's also the option to choose from transparency, line thickness, color border offset. Basically, you can make whichever changes you want to lines and stats displayed on your screen.
More features and tools
The app can be set to run on boot or you can hide the lines when the status bar hides, but that's available only for devices running Android version 3.0 or later. In addition, some indicators don't really work on all devices, especially Samsung.
The app is a really good idea, it's much easier to use than widgets and takes up fewer space. Not to mention that it doesn't take that long to load and you can check stats even if you're in an application or surfing the web.
Still, it comes with in-app purchases. The free version doesn't allow users to add more than two indicators, you'll want more so you should pay 0.99$ to unlock them.
