Monospace Writer BETA 1.3
One of the most simplistic and minimal apps that you can use is Monospace. It's not overcrowded with tools and icons, leaving the screen clean and with some access to its features. It also comes with a settings menu and two themes to choose from.
Sleek UI with plenty of features
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial, although it would have been useful in order to provide users with an overview of their features and the tools that they could use.
Still, it has some documents on the main screen, they're filled with all sort of useful tips that you should check out before actually starting to create notes. The interface keeps things minimal, allowing for basic formatting using gestures. It has a tagging system that lets users simply add tags to the final line of the file.
Create all sort of notes and documents
The app comes with two themes that you can choose from, a light and a dark one. In order to create a note simply tap on the floating icon on the screen. It's best if you would add hashtags in the title so that you would find notes faster.
The app doesn't have any word limit, which is quite nice you simply have to type in the text that you would like to write down and save. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with the option of picking the destination folder for saved notes.
More features and tools
The app allows users to change the size of the text and the color. You can organize your files easily using hashtags and sync them on various devices by connecting to Dropbox. It has plenty of formatting tools, like the option to make text bold, italics, set bullet points or quotes.
You have the option to export notes, either as plain text or markdown. Monospace allows for exporting via Markdown, meaning it has copy and paste support for a huge amount of services, including Wordpress and Tumblr.
When you're done creating notes, you can save and share them with friends on social networks. Unfortunately, the app doesn't come with that many tools, unlike other similar applications that we've come across on social networks.
