Confusing UI that could use an upgrade
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that people would rather have some tips when launching a new app. Book Writer's interface is a bit confusing, it uses material design but it doesn't have a side menu with quick access to its sections.
Instead, you can navigate through the app's functions by using tabs on the top of the screen. Still, that won't help you with much since the layout is mostly designed for experienced writers, whereas amateurs aren't really familiar with book structuring.
Write books and let other users read them
The first thing that you should do before actually starting to write your book is to create your user profile. You can do so inside the app by simply picking a name, typing in your location and writing a short biography if you want to share more with your readers.
Unfortunately, you can't use your Facebook or Google account to register, which is quite inconvenient. You can create a book easily, simply pick a name and load images from your gallery in order to pick a book cover.
More features and tools
The app lets you pick from many categories for your book and the default language is English, but you can change it. There's also the option to add tags to make it easier for users to find. You can structure your book by chapters, names for characters and plotlines.
This will help you gain a better overview of the book and make sure you write it in a professional way. The app comes with the option of backing up your books or exporting them to a text file. You can also share it with friends on social networks. There's a browsing section in which you can search for books to read and rate them.
However, you can't write comments and there are some trolls that simply write down text that sometimes has no actual meaning. The popular section is filled with books that aren't appropriate for children and there's no option to exclude them from results.
