Dated UI that really needs an upgrade
We've seen many apps that need some minor improvements to the interface, but this one doesn't even come close to the UI of major apps in the field. The interface is gray and highly unappealing, while the app fails to provide new users with tips on navigation and instructions for taking advantage of all features.
The first thing you'll see in the app is the message for choosing between the free and premium version, each with its own set of features. Still, the app doesn't have additional skins or themes to choose from.
Filter stations by location or genre
There's a search bar at the top, which you can use to find certain stations. You also have the option of filtering by location or genre. Choose from stations in all parts of the world, including remote countries. The app contains an impressive number of stations and it doesn't take long to connect to them.
Audio quality is really good, but it also depends on your internet connection. The app lets you connect even to a variety of internet stations. Find stations based on genres, choose from hip-hop, alternative, classical, etc. All stations are arranged alphabetically and their location is also displayed. But the app doesn't show the current song playing on a respective station.
Some shortcomings
The app doesn't open the last played station, but you can save stations and find them in the favorites folder. Enable the sleep timer to have the app shut down after a certain period of time. It doesn't come with an equalizer, but has controls in the status bar but not on the lock screen.
Still you can have the app automatically reconnect within 3 minutes after the connection disconnected. Also, you can set it to play at a certain hour of the day and you can move the radio to the sd card to save space on your phone.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface clearly needs an update, as it comes in gray colors and chunky icons. |
Function8
It's missing some features that other similar radio apps have, but compensates with good audio quality and fast loading. |
Security9
Online registration isn't needed and the app doesn't require many permissions from your phone, so there's no need to worry about privacy. |
Battery6
It takes up a lot of resources, more than other similar radios so keep an eye on your battery levels when using the app. |
Price9
It's free but needs an upgrade to premium if you wish to unlock features. The premium version costs 1.99$. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
Content is okay but it clearly needs more features and a more appealing interface.
