Beatport 1.2.3.5
One of such apps is Beatport. It's a nice application for listening to all sort of electronic music and checking out shows. It has lots of nifty features, making it a must for people who love electronic music.
Beautiful and fluent interface
The app launches with a tutorial, showing new users all the neat things that they can do inside the app and how they can access features. It sports a really fluent UI with a side menu on the left and access to all sort of sections.
The design is quite nice, although there's nothing special about, it follows the guidelines of material design for Android apps. The first thing that you need to do inside the app is to register with an account.
Use an email address and pick a username. Unfortunately, there's no option to connect with Facebook or Google accounts, which is quite inconvenient since the registration process would have taken less.
Discover good music
The home screen features a section with popular tracks and mixes. You can browse through exclusive songs, check out charts or use the daily rotation section to find new music. It has a section with featured artists, with their top tracks and the number of likes.
Tap on one song to play, the app opens a toolbar at the bottom of the screen and you can continue to navigate inside the app while listening to music. There's the option to change the genre and pick from bass, house, techno and many more.
More features and tools
You'll find controls in a toolbar inside notifications and in the lock screen. The player mode lets you share songs on social networks or like them. It also features a section with information on the singer and you can scroll through songs by swiping the screen left or right.
List view is also available, but the app doesn't let users change the position of songs. You can also check out shows, the app accesses your location services and displays shows that are near the city you're currently in.
It displays the date of the show, so you'll have to check in then in order to view it. A search bar at the top of the screen helps find songs faster, but it would have been nice if the app had more features.
