Alarm clock by Caynax 7.2.1
Fortunately, the store is filled with all sort of alarm clock apps that you can use. One of them is Alarm clock by Caynax. It's a simplistic alarm clock with only some features, but at the end of the day how many complicated tools do you need in an alarm clock.
Simplistic UI with only a few tools at hand
Usually, apps start with a tutorial or some sort of presentation of their features, but not Alarm clock by Caynax. It opens with the EULA, which isn't something that you see everyday.
Next, users would have to pick a language, it's nice that the app is translated into all sort of languages since it means that it's available all over the world and to multiple users. There's a side menu on the left that gives you access to all the app's sections, but mainly to alarms that you have set up on your phone.
Create all sort of alarms
You can create all sort of alarms, there are many types that you can choose from like quick alarms, some that repeat throughout the week or only during week days. There's also a timer that you can use. It comes with the option of setting an annual alarm which you could use a reminder.
The app lets you pick from ringtones on your phone, unfortunately it doesn't come with a sound gallery of its own. But it does have all sort of settings, you can adjust the ringtone volume, the duration of snooze or the alarm length.
More features and tools
It doesn't come with any additional wallpapers or themes, which is quite inconvenient. However, the app gives users the option to backup their information on the phone or sync alarms with their Dropbox account.
However the latter is only available in the pro version, but there's no information on how much it would cost or how to make the purchase. It lets you adjust notifications that are displayed in the setup area. All in all, the app is quite simplistic in the bad way.
It doesn't have any smart wake up modes, ringtones, wallpapers or any sort of features to set it aside from other similar apps. Moreover, you would have to make lots of system changes so that the app wouldn't get disabled during the night. In addition, the alarm won't go off if your phone is not on.
