WebMD 4.0.1
Dated UI that can get confusing at times
The interface comes with plenty of instructions and a tutorial to help you find everything you need fast and without any fuss. However, the interface seems a bit dated with all sections arranged on the home screen and the option to make some changes but only to your profile.
You can change age you provide, gender or zip code. The app also comes with the option of setting up a pin code to protect the information you've provided as well as saved symptoms and conditions. The interface may be confusing at times, because there's no icon to go directly to the home page and users may get lost within the app.
Check your symptoms
WebMD app comes with a symptom checker. All you need to do is simply tap on the part of the body where you're experiencing pain and check from a list of symptoms. You can add more than one symptom and the app will provide you with possible conditions.
However, the app takes a while to load and doesn't display the whole range of symptoms. In addition, the list of conditions isn't arranged alphabetically, so if you're looking for a certain one it may take a while. You can email the condition or save and read it later. There's also the option of opening the link in browse. All conditions come with a list of symptoms that you can check and related articles you can read.
Check drugs and find physicians nearby
You can use the app to check for side effects of various drugs, as well as the recommended dosage and interactions. You can search drugs by their name, popularity or ID. The app also provides you with images of pills.
It also comes with a first aid section and instructions on how to react in an emergency situation caused by a number of conditions. In addition, you can use the app to find a local physician, hospital or the nearest pharmacy.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
Dated interface that could use an update and more pictures. The interface is confusing at times and users must hit the back button many times to get to the main menu. |
Function7
It has some stability issues and some drugs or conditions aren't featured in the app. In addition, more features would be helpful. |
Security8
It needs access to few areas of your phone and they're all connected to its features. The app also comes with the option of setting up a PIN code to protect your personal information. |
Battery7
The power consumption is slightly above average, but you shouldn't worry about the app draining your battery. |
Price10
The app is completely free of charge, it doesn't come with ads or in-app purchases. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later. |
A good app for checking symptoms and conditions, however the list of diseases is short.
