There are many dating websites out there and it's true that they're effectiveness only depends on their popularity, but sometimes you can find interesting people on less crowded networks. Waplog is a less popular dating site but that doesn't mean that it's not filled with users of all ages and nationalities with various preferences and hobbies, so you'll surely find one that fits your profile.

Sleek and stylish interface that makes it hard to reach sections

We've tested some social dating apps and realized that one important thing is to have features at hand, especially messages and profile settings. While the interface of Waplog is quite neat, it has a rather confusing UI.

If you're setting up an account, you'll need to tap back multiple times to check your messages. Unless you disable them, notifications will appear in the status bar, simply tap to open. You'll need to create an account in order to use the platform, use your Facebook or Google+ profiles or email address.

Create a profile

Even if you sign up with Facebook or Google+, the app will assign an automatic username that you'll need to change to something more personal, but make sure it's something you like as you can modify it only once. Upload a picture and type in a status.

You'll also have to provide your gender, date of birth, relationship status, interests, education, etc. Height, eye and hair color can also be added, but they're not mandatory and only helps the app find suitable people for you to chat with. However, there are some privacy issues to make sure only friends can see messages and pictures that you post.

Find friends

Before starting to search for people, make sure you apply some filters. Select from gender, country and age. You can also have the app find only people that are near your location.

Send messages to start a conversation, but be skeptical as social networking sites are not strangers to bullies and stalkers, so it's better if you don't provide personal information on yourself or your phone number and keep conversations at a casual level. The network doesn't come with likes for profiles, but you can add users to your favorites list and chat with them later.
