VidTrim 2.4.9
Nifty app with much to offer
You'd expect video editing apps to come with a tutorial or at least some onscreen instructions, but VidTrim doesn't. Still, developers did design a fully comprehensive interface that doesn't leave new users confused.
The app opens with a grid of all your videos and some settings under the 'hamburger' icon in the top right corner of the screen. You can sort videos by date, name, size or duration. There's also the option of sorting them in ascending order. The app comes with banner ads and no option of removing them, unless you purchase the premium version for 1.99$.
Edit videos
Video editing is made easy with this app. Simply find your video in the list or open folders on your device. The app provides you with a list of details, like duration, picture size and file size. It comes with a pack of codecs that are installed after you launch the app, so you'd know it plays many formats of clips.
Start trimming videos by selecting the start and end marks. Trim the original video or save it as a new clip. Users can also save audio as mp3 to their device. You also have the option of saving frames and pictures, choosing their size and adjusting video quality. Keep the original audio or add another to the background.
Merge videos and add effects
If you'd like to merge videos together, the app can help with a distinct section. You'd have the option of doing so with the tap of just one button. Effects can also be added to videos, choose from a long list including vignette, vintage and sharpen. Adjust the intensity easily inside the app.
Rotate frames, rename videos and share them with friends on social networks. The app also lets you delete the clips that you don't like. VidTrim also comes with a built in transcoder that allows you to convert video to MP4, resize and compress.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is really neat and incorporates many features and tools, but it could have used some instructions. |
Function8
It works well, although it takes a while to perform tasks but does a good job at converting videos and applying effects. |
Security9
No online registration and the app only needs access to media files in order to open videos. |
Battery7
Consumption is high, which is to be expected for a video app so keep your phone plugged in. |
Price9
It's free but comes with ads which can be removed if you upgrade to the premium version for 1.99$. |
Compatibility9
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A great video editor with plenty of features to use.
