Split Pic Pro 1.4
But developers have come up with some creative ideas for your pictures. Split Pic Pro is one of them, it lets you take pictures and arrange them into collages as to create photo stories to share with friends.
Sleek and colorful interface
The concept behind the app isn't complicated, you simply need to take pictures and the app automatically arranges them into photo stories. It provides you with all the tips and instructions you may need to navigate inside the app and to use all its features.
The interface is really nice and it even comes with animation for the app icon. Still, the home section has shortcuts to other apps created by the developer as well as an icon for sharing the app on Google+. It doesn't need online registration and all tools featured inside are absolutely free of charge.
Snap and edit pictures
The home screen offers you access to your gallery of pictures so you can import them. However, it seems that it seems some more work in this area, because it stretches pictures that you import and they no longer look good.
Developers should implement a feature that lets you crop pictures so that they fit the frame. Still, you can use the camera to snap a sequence of pictures that you can later edit.
The app's camera is okay, but only comes with a few tools, like the one that lets you enable flash and switch cameras on your phone. Also, you can add pictures from your gallery at any time. You'll need to take at least two pictures in order to create a story.
Add filters and text to your stories
The app comes with only 20 filters that you can add to your pictures and it takes a while to apply them. Still, you can add different filters to pictures or the same to all. Moreover, text can be added.
Adjust the font style, size and color with the touch of a button. Once you're done editing, you can save the story in a separate folder on your phone and share it with friends.
The app doesn't let you pick the image format and automatically saves pictures as .png. You can also save pictures and edit them later if you please.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is okay but it could use some more improvements as it's non-responsive at times. |
Function7
It works just fine, but has few filters and effects to add on pictures. In addition, it could definitely use some more editing tools. |
Security9
It only needs access to areas of your phone connected to its features, so you shouldn't worry about privacy issues. |
Battery8
Consumption is normal, the app doesn't have the potential of draining your batter so you shouldn't worry about that. |
Price8
It comes with annoying popup ads displayed after you save your projects and there's no option of removing them. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A nice photography app it could surely use some more features.
