The app comes with some instructions, but they're featured in a list with some pictures and images to show new users how to access tools. It would have been nicer if all these tips would have been arranged into a tutorial and you could read instructions and go through some slides.
Still, after you've checked out the instructions you can start accessing the app and all of its features. However, before you do that the app wants you to provide it with the answer to a question, like your favorite food so that it would provide you with a hint in case you forget the password.
Lock media files on your phone
Your most personal files should always be protected on your phone, especially from prying eyes. Safe Gallery Free lets you lock multiple types of files like downloaded data, pictures and videos. The app doesn't take long to scan your device and retrieve folders with your photos.
Tap on one folder to open, you can view files in the form of a slide show, share pictures, rotate them or even delete them, meaning that you can use the app even in the form of a gallery manager. All of your locked files are featured in a separate section, so when you're browsing through them in your default gallery viewer they won't appear.
Some features
The app lets you sort pictures and videos by name, size and date. You can also create new folders, export or import data from any other folder inside your phone. Users can pick from three lock types, passcodes, passwords or patterns.
You can set questions/answers for pins or hints in case you forget the password. In addition, users can add the app as device administrator as to prevent it from being deleted.
Safe Gallery Free lets you hide the application inside your phone so that others wouldn't know it's there. It comes with banner ads which aren't that annoying but if you wish to remove them you can do so by purchasing the paid version for 1.79$.
