Qello Concerts 2.1
Simplistic UI built for fluency
You would expect a music streaming app to be full featured and easy-to-use, Qello's design is just like that. It comes in the well-known Android style, with a menu on the left side of the screen and a search bar on top, but it doesn't have auto-fill suggestions. Other then that, banner ads on the bottom take up precious screen space and there even visible when you go full-screen in landscape mode.
Browse through various concerts
In order to watch concerts, you must register with a Facecook or Google+ account, or sign up. You'll need to activate your 7 day trial in order to watch concerts, but the app provides you with one unlocked song per concert.
In order to start your trial, you must provide a credit card number and unless you cancel your subscription, you will be charged after the seventh day. You can search for your favorite band or check out top watched concerts and setlists.
Qello TV is a nice feature because it lets you choose a genre and streams songs played in concert. You also have the option of watching the concert. Setlists can only be created by subscribed users. It's a way of creating your own concerts, with your favorite songs from top artists.
Watch HD concerts
You can search for artists by name, genre or even decades. The app has concerts from as far as the 20s. Each concert comes with a description of the band, a tracklist and a section with related shows you can check out. There's the option of changing the video-quality or sharing the concert, but no comments section.
You can find concerts by various bands and artists in this app, however you may be surprised that some Grammy-winning singers are featured in the app. In addition the app comes with Chromecast support, which is very convenient considering that concerts normally last for more than hour and it's uncomfortable to watch a phone screen for that long.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is well-organized but the app is missing many features. Also, it lacks links to the band's official website for more information. |
Function7
The app comes with Chromecast support but some famous artists aren't featured in the app. |
Security4
You need to provide your credit card information even for the 7-day free trial and some users have had trouble with canceling their subscription. |
Battery3
Consider this one a battery drainer, keep your phone plugged in. |
Price5
Banner ads even in full-screen mode and 4.99$ subscription per month to watch full concerts but check if the app has concerts of your favorite band before making payments. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later. |
With more work, it has the potential of being a good app.
