Simplistic app but with a clever design
When you first launch the app, the player starts scanning your device for videos and clips. It opens all results on the main screen and you only need to tap on one to play. It doesn't have any instructions but the interface is rather stripped of many essential features.
It doesn't have additional themes nor gestures to make it easier to navigate in the app. There are some settings that can be done, but users must take several steps in order to reach them. You can have the app arrange videos in a playlist, display the thumbnail for every video or select from the many decoding modes.
Play all sorts of videos
QQPlayer plays all sorts of video formats including AVI, FLV, MP4, 3GP, MKV, MOV without requiring users to install a codec pack. Swipe your screen left to view folders and open videos with one tap.
The play lets you lock the screen so that you don't accidentally pause a clip or add subtitles. You have the option of adjusting the size and format of subtitles. The icon for adjusting brightness and volume is a bit small and makes it difficult to switch the volume up or down.
QQPlayer also lets users open a specific file from their phone by granting them access to all folders in the device but if you wish the app to find a certain clip simply tap on the refresh icon. Moreover, you can lock videos by setting a password to the app.
