The concept behind the app is appealing, but the execution is poor. Overall the app looks good, but it has some bugs that may be annoying on the long term. Still, it's well worth a try.
Sleek interface with some bugs
Pose platform is a website where women can snap pictures of their outfits, upload them and gather likes. A number of celebrities and stylists have accounts on Pose and regularly post pictures, reply to comments and recommend products.
But before you can start using the app, you need to register with an account. Either use your Facebook or Google+ profiles, or register with an email. Aside from the usual information, Pose also wants users to describe their style so that suggestions will be based on their preferences.
Follow users and post pictures
Unlike other apps with the menu on the left side, Pose has a toolbar on top of the screen which has all the features you need in order to navigate within the app. You can have it display pictures in a grid or list. The app opens with posts by users you're following and those related to your preferences.
There's the option of liking, commenting and sharing posts with friends on other platforms, like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. However, when preparing to share a post the app doesn't load the picture and icons for social networks are gray making users think that they're locked. Still, users may use the app to snap pictures and post them to their profile or read comments send by other users.
Find friends and purchase products
The app doesn't have a search bar, so if you want to search for a certain celebrity or blogger, then you'd have to use the find friends section under settings. This is highly inconvenient, considering that some of us already get inspiration from certain bloggers and wish to follow them on other platforms as well.
Still, despite its flaws the app is well worth a try, especially for the shopping section where your followers swap or sell their clothes for low prices. You can also negotiate prices, as the app allows you to message sellers and provides you with a 15$ discount if you purchase through Google Wallet.
