PicGrid 2.2.7
But fortunately, there are many apps for people to choose from, some for professional photographers while others for amateurs. PicGrid is clearly an app for regular users, who simply wish to edit pictures and create collages without too much fuss.
Nice interface with some features
When you first launch this app, you notice that there's nothing too special about it, the format is pretty intuitive but simplistic nonetheless. The home page displays all sections into thumbnails together with a menu that contains some settings but quite a few. It doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions for new users.
The help and FAQ sections are missing from the menu as well, but the developer didn't neglect to create a separate section to recommend some of its other applications. The app lets you pick the save size, either standard or HD but you should know that it saves images under a lower resolution.
Create nice collages with pictures from your gallery
The app lets you create collages or simply use a single picture in the photo editor. You can edit it by adding various shapes, adjust the edges of shapes or zoom in/out on the picture. Simply drag the photo on the screen to make it fit shapes.
The app lets you apply one of 14 filters to individual photos or use all sorts of patterns to add to the background of images. You may also apply stickers, the app has a large gallery of items that you can pick from but you'll have to be patient as it takes a while to load them. Text can also be applied, as it comes with many fonts that you can pick from and more than 200 types of frames.
Different shapes for collages
It lets you pick up to 9 pictures to create collages with and comes with many templates. You can also try the free feature, that lets you arrange pictures on the screen without being constricted by a template.
You may also rearrange images to fit templates or apply filters to each picture individually or the whole collage if you wish. When you're done editing you may save and share collages on social networks.
The app comes with banner ads and there's no option of removing them. Moreover, it's filled with suggestions of other applications that you can download to your phone.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is okay, but the menu should contain a help section for new users to check out. |
Function7
It definitely needs some more features and the option to let users pick more than 9 pictures for their collages. |
Security8
It needs access to some areas that aren't connected to its features, but it shouldn't pose any privacy risks. |
Battery5
Consumption is quite high, so make sure to keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price8
No in-app purchases but the app has banner ads and plenty of recommendations of other applications by the same developer. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 4.0 or later, but that makes it inaccessible to some users. |
Quite a simplistic collage app that fails to stand out from similar ones on the market.
