Google Play Store is filled with all sorts of photography apps for your phone, some with more features than others. However, it's only now and then that we come across apps that really surprise us with a sleek interface and a whole array of truly useful tools for photography editing.

PhotoDirector is one of such apps as it comes with spectacular features all packed in a lightweight interface that doesn't resemble any of the ones that we've seen until now.

Easy-to-use interface with plenty of instructions

Depending on the complexity of features, many apps could use a tutorial to show users how to take advantage of all of its features and how to edit pictures like a professional.

PhotoDirector comes with plenty of onscreen instructions and a settings menu where you can make the app your own. It lets you pick the destination folder and change the image quality, from 800 pixels to 2560 pixels, but only if you upgrade to the premium version for 4.3$.

An upgrade would also remove ads, which aren't really that annoying. The app's layout is really nice, it displays all editing tools on the bottom of the screen and provides users with a demo photo so that they can test out the app.

Edit pictures like a professional

The photo editor lets you make all sorts of changes to pictures on your phone, it comes with all the basic editing tools like cropping pictures, rotating or flipping them. In addition, you can adjust color intensity using a curve instrument or change saturation levels.

You can also remove items from the image, but don't expect the app to do any miracles as you'd need a more complex editor to perfectly remove objects from a picture.

Apply effects, overlays, add text or blur images

The app also comes with plenty of effects that you can apply, all arranged into categories. It has over 40 preset effects and many overlays, grouped into four sections.

You can also use the blur tool on whichever section of the picture or use the skin tool to adjust skin tones. Text bubbles can be added, together with the option of choosing from 15 frames for your phone.

Moreover, you can pick from many scenes to make your pictures stand out. Save the picture to your phone or share it on social networks when you're done.
