Photo & Video Locker 1.4.3
Google Play Store has lots of apps that can help secure your media files, one of them is Photo & Video Locker. It's filled with all the basic tools that you might use in order to lock information on your phone.
Sleek UI with plenty to offer
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which means that you'll need to get accustomed to the app on your own. Still, it sports a really intuitive interface with plenty of features at hand although it doesn't use material design and it doesn't have a side menu.
The first thing that you'll need to do inside the app is to set a PIN or pattern lock, in order to protect your files. You can set a number with 4-8 digits but make sure you don't forget. If you can't remember it, the app lets you enter a security email so it may send you the PIN.
Lock your pictures and videos
The interface is easy-to-use, you simply need to create separate folders and place your pictures there. The app opens your gallery of photos, it displays even cached ones, pictures that you received and all traces of images that you may have stored on your phone. Batch selection is available so it won't take long to lock images on your phone.
The picture is removed from its original folder and saved within the app. However, if someone was snooping through your phone and came across this app locked with a PIN, it would be quite obvious that you have stored compromising data there. In other words, the app should have a feature that would allow users to change its icon.
More features
You can also create folders for your videos and hide them inside the app. It lets you manage files and move them around from one folder to another. However, it does have its flaws. The app doesn't automatically close, so access if granted freely without having to enter a password for a few seconds or minutes after you closed the app.
It only lets you lock pictures and videos, which is quite inconvenient considering that users might want to lock some documents that contain confidential information. Also, the app doesn't unlock items in their original location but another folder.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is really nice, with plenty of features at hand but it could use a tutorial or at least some tips. |
Function8
It works just fine and doesn't seem to have any stability issues, but it would be nice if users could lock documents also. |
Security5
It doesn't let you hide the app in your phone and the application doesn't automatically lock when you close it. |
Battery6
Consumption is a bit high for a locker app, keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price7
It comes with banner and popup ads, users can remove them if they pay 1.59$. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making the app accessible to many users. |
It has some security flaws and it needs more features.
