OI File Manager 2.0.5
OI File Manager can help you with that although it’s not the pinnacle of this app category.
Simplistic file manager with much potential
Complex apps with a complicated interface usually come with tutorials or at least instructions of use. But OI File Manager doesn’t and there’s no help section under settings, unlike other apps. At first glance the app seems limited and it is.
It sports a dark theme with an option to switch to a more light one but lacks any sort of customization options. It seems to be the most basic file manager out there, available only in English without any alternative languages. In addition, users can’t change the font size or style.
Manage your files
It opens with the main directory on your phone, from there you can tap on folders to find files or use the search bar. You can copy, send compress or create shortcuts to files. There’s also the option of renaming and bookmarking them. You can move files to other folders but not by using gestures. Still, there’s the option of sorting files by name, size, last modified or file extension and you can have the app display hidden files.
Create folders
The app also lets you create various folders to organize data stored on your phone. You can also have the app exclude certain folders from media scan and it displays the list of media files with thumbnails for photos. Still it lets you copy and delete directories or share files with friends, but it’s simplistic compared to other similar apps.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is rudimentary, with no cool features or animation to make it more appealing. Also, it only comes in a datk theme and there’s no option of changing the font style or size. |
Function7
It performs well, but it’s missing some essential features. Frankly, we’ve seen other free file managers that can do much more than this one. |
Security8
It needs few permissions from you phone, but you can’t set a password to lock access to your files. |
Battery8
Consumption is lower than for other similar apps, you don’t have to worry about this file manager draining your battery no matter how much time you spend on it. |
Price9
Completely free of charge and without any ads, but the app does have a separate section for users to donate. |
Compatibility9
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 1.6 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
Simplistic file manager that could use some more features.
