Month Calendar Widget 1.8.2
The widget for Google's default calendar only displays entries for the current week, but it doesn't offer an overview of the whole month on your home screen. Month Calendar Widget does.
Simplistic interface with almost no customization features
Calendar apps rely both on functionality as well as customization features, and even other apps allow users to change the color or design of home screen widget. Surprisingly, Month Calendar Widget doesn't. It comes with two widget sizes 3x2 and 4x3.
There's no option of changing the color of the interface or choosing from multiple designs, thus not allowing users to customize the widget and make it their own. The widget displays the calendar in a gray transparent font.Still, it comes with some settings, you can adjust background transparency and have weekend days highlighted.
Some settings for the widget
Still, the app comes with instructions explaining what the widget does and how to place it on your home screen. You can have the widget start the week with either Sunday, Saturday or Monday.
It only displays the current month, you can use the back and forward icons to switch through months but there's no option of it displaying only weeks. You can have the app blur days of previous/next month and display the settings button on the widget.
Rudimentary widget that leaves much to be desired
Users have the option of getting the lock screen extension that would display the widget in the lock screen but they would need to pay 0.99$ for it. Also, there's the option of managing calendar event in a widget but that costs 1.99$. The free version is stripped of any customization options or features.
The widget doesn't sync with any accounts or even the calendar on your phone, so it doesn't display any entries or appointments. It's only useful if you wish to check the date or glace on the number of days in a month.
