Monefy 1.5.8
Out of all expense managers that we've tested, Monefy is surely the most intuitive and lightweight. It has all the features you need to manage your monthly expenses, all packed in a clean and sleek interface, with a business vibe but also a casual feel.
Sleek and lightweight interface with many features
Some expense managers give out a business feel and people may avoid them for managing expenses from their personal life. But Monefy perfectly combines the business feel with a casual vibe by using cute icons for categories.
The app comes with plenty of instructions of use and tips to get you started, so you can input monthly expenses in a matter of minutes. The app comes in several languages to choose from, together with many currencies to pick from so you'd be sure calculations are made properly. Still, the app doesn't have a feature that would help you calculate taxes at least for certain categories of services.
Manage your expenses like a pro
The app opens with a graph and categories all around it. Your current balance is displayed on the bottom of the screen, so you can always check it. Simply tap on a category to add a sum and write a note. You can add various expenses like home payments, phone bills, utilities, groceries, clothes, car payments, etc.
The app shows you the percentage that each category takes up from the total, so you can get a general idea on what you're spending the most money. You can input expenses per day, week, month or year and navigate through the calendar to find certain entries.
Additional settings and tools
In addition to all the categories in the free version, you can also get more in the pro version of this app. But you don't necessarily have to buy it for 2.02$, you may unlock features if you allow the app to display ads.
Which is a good thing since they're not that intrusive or annoying. Still, the app lets you manage accounts and add your own income sources by picking from a whole range of options.
Monefy also comes with passcode protection if you decide to secure information provided inside the app. You can also backup information by syncing the app with your Dropbox account.
