Jango Radio

When it comes to radio stations, it seems that people are looking for a fluent interface and plenty of features to meet all their needs. However, out of the plenitude of radio apps, only a few manage to come with essential features and don't charge a dime for them. Jango is an easy-to-use app, but comes with banner ads and is missing some features.

Intuitive UI that lacks instructions

The interface is quite sleek, but there's always room for improvement. It could use more HD images and cooler icons, so it could properly compete against the top such apps. This is one of those apps that doesn't come with instructions, but there are some settings that you can use. The song progress bar on the bottom of the screen should be more visible.

You can change the audio quality, depending on your internet connection. Aside from that, you can set the app to resume playback each time you plug in your headsets. It also comes with a sleep timer. The radio app needs online registration, you can either connect your Facebook account or sign up.

Listen to various stations

The whole concept behind the app is that it provides you with suggestions of songs based on your preferences. You can either search through various stations divided by genre, region or decade. You can also check out charts with the top songs of the day.

All the stations that you've listened to are listed in a separate section, so you can resume play at any time. Also, you have the option of sorting stations by date or name.

Like songs so the app would play them more

This is truly one of the most personalized radio service. You have the option of liking/disliking every song that plays, so it would be streamed more often or excluded from the tracklist, depending on your vote. In this way, you'll know that the app will only provide you with music that best suits your taste.

In addition, you have the option of adding any artist to the station, reading track infos which include a biography of the band as well. However, the app should update info on certain artists. Other than that the all also provides you with suggestions of songs and stations.
