HyperBooth 1.12
There are many photo editors to choose from, but not all sport a nice interface or have lots of features. HyperBooth is a nice camera app, with some tools but it could use some more tools. It sports a unique, but very simplistic interface with some features at hand.
Simplistic and a bit dated UI
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions to help new users get accustomed to its features and the tools it provides. It doesn't have a home page, it opens directly with the camera mode, letting you snap pictures easily. It does however have a settings menu, which is not something that many photo editors have.
Still, you can't pick the destination folder for pictures, adjust their quality or make any kind of setting to the interface. You can however pick the style of the border, either white, black or silver. You can also adjust the thickness by simply sliding the bar on the screen.
Some settings
It lets you pick a style for the vignette and the texture of the picture. You can even have the app apply a logo, choose between the two available. The app lets you snap pictures easily and apply filters directly from the camera mode.
You can set a timer, enable the flash or switch between cameras on your phone. It also lets you stabilize the image by slowing tapping on your screen. You can also shift between lots of filters that you can apply on your pictures, it comes with 180 filters and it even has previews, so you can check out the ones that match your photo the most. You can also use the camera to snap multiple pictures and create collages.
Apply filters and light effects
Other than applying filters on pictures, you can also use one of the many effects included in the app. It comes with fisheye effects, mirror-view, cartoon, sketch, neon and reflection styles. Once you've made all the settings to the app, applied filters and effects, you can save the picture and then share it with friends on social networks.
The app works just fine, but the quality of pictures is much poorer than those taken with your stock camera. This is a major setback since people want photo apps to enhance their pictures, while also keeping the quality of images.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
It has a nice interface but it's a bit simplistic, with few features at hand and no settings for the actual UI. |
Function7
It works and it's filled with all sort of filters and effects, but the quality of pictures is lower than images taken with your stock camera. |
Security8
It only needs a few permissions from your phone, mostly connected to its features so you don't have to worry about privacy issues. |
Battery7
Consumption is moderate, the app shouldn't drain your resources unless you use it extensively. |
Price10
No ads or in-app purchases, the app is completely free of charge. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 4.0.3 or later, making the app available to many users. |
It's an average camera app, it needs many more features.
