The GUI is quite easy-to-use, just type in a location or use your GPS to find hotel rooms near you. The app displays various discounted offers, including regular rates, for various rooms. Each entry includes several pictures of the room, building and a map locator with information on nearby public transportation stations and restaurants.
In addition, hotels are rated based on user reviews and comments made by people who stayed there are also displayed. A short description of the room and location is also provided. The app displays amenities available at the hotel, for the room and even if meals are included in the price.
Book rooms in seconds
Aside from searching for last-minute offers, the app also provides a weekly calendar of major events hosted in the desired city and whether or not these events cause room rates to be high than usual, due to increased demand. Aside from that, you can set the app to provide notifications whenever a room opens up.
Get credit for inviting friends
Hotel Tonight app offers the possibility of earning credit for next bookings by inviting friends to join the community of travelers. For each friend that signs up, you get credit for future bookings, so that in the end you pay even less for rooms.
All in all, it's a great app for finding last-minute rooms in various cities, however the list of locations available is constantly updated, not all cities are available. In addition, only top rated hotels make the cut, so you will find discounted rooms but at expensive hotels.
