Guidecentral DIY 1.0.20
Stylish UI that makes it easy to navigate through guides
An intuitive interface is almost mandatory for a DIY app, as it has to be fluent and provide users with all the tools they need in order to start creating neat stuff. This app sports an easy-to-use GUI with all features at hand.
It's filled with stylish colors and plenty of tools for using and sharing guides. A search bar is featured at the top of the screen, but without any auto-fill suggestions. The app lets you search for guides on how to create many objects and even has a section for kids.
Browse through various guides
All guides are neatly arranged into categories and topics, but there's no option of searching through them in order to find exactly what you're looking for. Search for crafts and guides related to style, beauty, home and even food&drinks. The list of topics will help you sort through multiple topics and guides.
Each guide comes with a list of supplies and photos features clean instructions on how to use materials and create amazing things. The materials section lets you filter through guides by supplies, but you can't choose more than one.
Like, comment and upload your own
The platform resembles a community of crafters, so you have the option of signing up for an account and uploading your own guides. There's also the option of commenting and liking other entries, so you could find them later under your account.
Notifications can be set for when you wish to find out when other users like your guides or when those you follow post new ones. Users can share guides on social networks or browse through related entries. The new shop section lets you get DIY Kits to recreate the most popular Guidecentral projects at home.
One of the app's shortcomings is that it doesn't allow users to save pictures with instructions. Also, the app doesn't come with video tutorials to show how some items are made.

The app was well-optimized as not to take up too much battery, no need to worry here. |

A great DIY guide, but it needs more features.
