Gogobot
It's a nice app that uses your GPS to provide you with suggestions of places to visit. They're places that other tourists have checked out and you can even read their reviews and opinions.
Fluent interface with all features at hand
The app launches with a tutorial showing new users what features they can access inside the app and how they can get suggestions of places to visit. However, in order to fully enjoy the app, you'll need to register with an account. You can do so using your Facebook or Google profiles, or by typing in your email address and some personal information.
You can make account changes and add a picture to your profile, by accessing the side menu on the left. After you register, the app will have you join various 'tribes', or groups of people interested in the same topics, like backpacking, adventurous vacations, food, business and more.
Find places to go to
Enable location services so that the app can provide you with suggestions of all sort of places that you could visit. It displays the weather in your current location, together with a forecast for the next 5 days, information on the city and region, as well as lots of beautiful pictures that you could check out.
It also displays reviews posted by other users. You'll find suggestions in the feed of places to visit. You can also check out landmarks in cities from all over the world. Users can write their own reviews of places that they've visited and even postcards, by snapping pictures of places where you've been.
More features
The app also lets you create lists of places that you might want to visit. Search for a destination, find hotels, restaurants and attractions to add to your list. The feature also lets you add users and even choose dates.
You can also link your Facebook account with attractions and let your friends see what places you intend to visit in the future. All in all, the app is a must during vacations as it can act as a 'local guide' and provide you with the best suggestions. The fact that it's filled with user reviews is quite useful.
