Color Touch Effects 3.5
Color Touch Effects is one of such apps that comes with plenty of features and quite an intuitive interface. But it's filled with all sorts of ads to other applications that users may wish to download, together with banner ads on the bottom of the screen.
Nice interface with some features
The app doesn't need online registration and it comes with an intuitive interface that displays all sections arranged into thumbnails. You may connect your Facebook account to import pictures and edit them inside the app.
Later, you can share them more easily. Color Touch Effects comes with some instructions of use, the tips would help you understand the app faster and use the features without facing any issues.
You can edit pictures from inside your gallery or snap new ones instantly. There's also a section with cool photos that you can edit as you please and the last edited picture is then featured on the home page.
Edit photos instantly
Images are imported in black and white, tap the screen to see the original. You can apply various effects to the image, the app comes with multiple ones to choose from including sepia, infrared, auto contrast, color balance, solarize, negative, etc.
The third section of the app is the one that lets you add captions to the picture. Pick a color from the palette and move the text as you please. You can also pick from multiple types of fonts and zoom in/out on the text.
Users also have the option of configuring the size of the pen and the opacity. Simply slide your finger over the image to apply color. Users can also move or scale images by using two fingers.
Share images with friends
When you're done editing, you can save the picture to your device or share it with friends on social networks. Still, saved images are smaller than 1MB meaning they're not HD and they actually lose quality after you save them.
The app is nice for adding effects to black and white pictures, but it should come with some more features, considering the plenitude of photography applications available on Google Play Store and how difficult it is to provide users with absolutely everything they may need from such an app.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface could definitely use an upgrade and fewer banner ads that clog the UI and leave new users a bit annoyed. |
Function7
It works just fine but more features would be needed, including stickers and other tools. |
Security8
Users may connect with Facebook to import images and the app isn't intrusive, it won't peak into areas that it doesn't need. |
Battery8
Consumption isn't high, this definitely isn't an app that would drain your battery. |
Price9
It comes with multiple ads and recommendations of other apps that you can download. There's no option of removing popup ads. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It could definitely use more features.
