Candy Camera 1.51
Seeing how it's extremely important how we look on pictures we post on social networks, it's only normal that we search for apps that come with plenty of features to choose from.
Intuitive interface with instructions
The app opens with instructions on the home screen, showing users how navigate in the app and get accustomed to its gestures. It has all tools neatly displayed on top and bottom of the screen, leaving the center free for pictures.
The app uses plenty of gestures, slide the screen left and right to change filters or slide up and down to open/ close filters. It doesn't come in alternative languages.
Take pictures and edit them
The app lets you set a timer before taking a picture. You can also enable the flash, have it snap the photo only when you touch the screen or have it display a grid. Switch through cameras if you wish to take a selfie or load a picture from your gallery to edit.
You can also create slides with multiple pictures and borders, adjust the color, width and interval before pictures are taken. There's also the option of applying filters to the camera, before snapping pictures. You can crop images, favorite them or edit them in the app. Users also have the options of taking continuous pictures or adjust filters as they please.
Edit pictures
Slide up to share images with friends on social networks and down to start editing them. You can whiten them, add blemishes, adjust focusing, rotate or crop images. Other than that, there's the option of enhancing certain areas of your face, even by lifting your cheeks or changing the hair line.
While Candy Camera is lacking some features that would be considered standard for other apps, it's easy to see why it became so popular. It's easy to use and has a very appealing interface, with all features at hand and without any advanced tools that could confuse some users.

The interface is truly stylish, well structured and with plenty of features at hand. |
Function7
There are apps out there that can do more than this one, but it's simplistic UI and nice filters made it become so popular. |
Security8
It seems to be a very intrusive app, that needs access even to areas that it doesn't use like location services. |
Battery8
Consumption is normal for a photography app so you don't have to worry about that. |
Price10
Completely free of charge, no ads or in-app purchases whatsoever. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A neat app for taking selfies, editing and sharing them with friends.
