You'd think that such an app wouldn't come with many features, but developers managed to do it justice and provided users with plenty of tools together with onscreen instructions to make it easier to navigate through the app.
All tools are neatly arranged on the left of the screen and there's a search bar at the top, but it doesn't have auto-fill suggestions. Still you can use it to search for quotes or authors.
The app comes with two themes to choose from, the darker one sports a black background with brown edges. You can set the app to mark quotes that you've already read, send you daily notifications of added quotes or make multiple changes to the widget. There's the option of sizing widgets, showing the author's image or assigning a button action.
Browse through multiple quotes
The app launches with three onscreen quotes, the first is the quote of the day which you can save or share with friends. The second is the staff's pick and the third is a random one. Tap on one icon and you can receive random quotes by various authors.
All authors are organize alphabetically in a separate section, if you select one the app displays all quotes by said author. There's also the option of browsing through categories, like humor, friendship or wisdom.
Favorite and share quotes
Each quote comes with a section on the author, together with pictures and a link to the wikipedia page. There's the option of liking and sharing quotes with others. All entries that you've liked are featured in the favorites section.
The app also comes with indexes of top 50 quotes for the current week or day. You can set filters so that it would exclude quotes on certain topics or even authors. Brilliant Quotes app provides users with their own section, where they can save and organize quotes but it's only available in the premium version for 2.29$.
