Battery

Monitor your phone's battery, set notifications and read charts with this neat app
One of the basic apps that every Android device should use is a battery monitoring app to help calculate consumption and display system info. However, many apps on Google Play Store is filled with complicated battery apps, clogged with features and tools that confuse some users. Battery app is perfect for those who're looking for simplicity.

Rudimentary but intuitive app

Considering its simplicity, the app doesn't need any instructions or tips of use and it only comes with a few features to choose from. Battery app is only available in English as it doesn't come in any other languages.

You can set notifications and have the app show battery percentage in the status bar. In addition, users may get alerts when the battery is fully charged and have the app display a transparent interface, but the banner ads on the bottom will continue to appear. Every time you launch the app, there's a nagging message to rate it.

Monitor your battery

The app makes it easy to keep an eye on your power consumption. When you launch it, the app displays your battery level and the time left until it full charges/drains.

Swipe the screen to the left and there's information on temperature, voltage, health and the type of battery. The app also comes with charts of consumption, filtered by battery level, temperature, voltage. You can view charts for the past 24 hours or 5 days.

Use home screen widgets and check the usage

The app comes with several home screen widgets that you can use to monitor resources, but they are a bit simplistic, only displaying levels and calculating the time until your battery discharges.

It takes a lot of time to calculate and at times may be inaccurate, displaying 20 minutes of charging left for a 45% level. The app also has a shortcut to your system's battery section. All in all, it's really dull and may only appeal to users who are looking for extremely simplistic apps.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8

The interface is rather sleek, but the app doesn't come with instructions not even a section with info on the app and developer.

Function7

For a battery app, it lacks many essential features and the information it provides is sometimes inaccurate, but it's perfect for users who want to keep it simple.

Security10

When it comes to permissions from your phone, it seems that the app only needs access to your internet connection and permission to run at startup.

Battery7

The app seems to consume a bit more battery than similar apps, so keep that in mind.

Price8

Completely free of charge, but it comes with ads and nagging messages to rate the app.

Compatibility8

The developer didn't mention Android versions required for this app.
