Alarmy 7.8
But there are mornings when a simple alarm isn't enough, so apps come with various methods for making sure users are awake. Alarmy is one of those apps, with some features and tools for waking you up in the morning.
Well-structured interface with some features
Alarm applications normally come with a set of instructions or tips to get you going. Alarmy doesn't have a tutorial, but it comes with tips on how to navigate inside the app and access all its features.
The app doesn't need online registration so you don't have to worry about privacy issues, but it comes with some features neatly arranged in the menu. The app has a side menu that displays the history of alarms that you've set. The app only comes with the option of changing the color of the theme,
Set alarms to wake you up in the morning
The great thing about this app is that it's really easy-to-use. It comes with three preset alarms but you can add more if you wish. Set the time when you wish the alarm to sound, the days in which you'd like it to set off and enable vibration if you wish.
The app only comes with one ringtone, but it lets you choose from your own media gallery or set the alarm silent. Users can also add labels to their songs and they can choose from multiple alarm off methods, like taking a picture or shaking your phone for a number of times.
But make sure you pick a decent number of shakes because the alarm doesn't turn off unless you complete the task. Shake sensitivity can be adjusted in the settings menu. The app may also be set to provide you with the day's top headlines.
Take a picture to turn off the alarm
Another method for turning off the alarm is taking a picture, but be careful as the alarm only disables if you take a certain picture. You can also adjust accuracy settings and it's probably a good idea to set them to low so you wouldn't take multiple pictures until you can finally turn the alarm off.
Users can also adjust the snooze duration but only for all alarms and have the app auto-silence after 30 minutes. Moreover, after you've turned the alarm off it displays expected temperatures for your location so make sure to pick the right unit of measurement.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface could really use more themes and not just the option to change the color. |
Function8
The app works just fine but it could use some more methods for turning off the alarm and some more ringtones. |
Security9
It needs many permissions from your phone but they're all connected to its features so it shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery6
Consumption seems to be quite high so make sure to keep your phone plugged in at night if you don't want the app to drain your battery. |
Price8
The app comes with banner ads and there's no option of removing them. |
Compatibility8
The app should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
The app needs some more improvements and extra features to make it stand out from others.
