All phones should have a highly customizable. Many apps come with neat designs and all sorts of features that you'd expect from an alarm clock. Alarm Clock by AVG Labs is one of such apps, which packs many features but doesn't really stand out from the crowd, not by design or functionality.

UI focusing on usability rather than appearance

The design of this app seems a bit chunky and not very stylish, although the color theme can be changed to any shade you wish. In addition, you can change the language of the alarm or the hour format from 12 to 24 hours. The alarm can be set in portrait or landscape view and screen brightness can also be changed.

Also, you can choose from three notification icons for your phone's status bar. All the basic settings for your alarms must be done from the menu and not when you set it up. So, you can set the app to provide a snooze countdown, gently vibrate or backup settings to your SD card.

Set as many alarms and timers as you like

The app allows you to create multiple alarms and timers, for all special situations in which you need them. Also, you can label them. You can set your favorite song or a ringtone as the alarm sound, or set a random song.

There are also many snooze methods you can choose from like pressing the screen button, side buttons, shaking the device or solving math problems. The latter is an efficient method of making sure you've actually woken up before you'd be able to turn off your alarm.

The app also comes with on screen widgets. Although it sports a clean interface, the app comes with banner ads even in the menu and nagging icons with suggestions of other apps by the developer.
