Sleek UI with plenty of features
It comes with a tutorial and lots of instructions, but only after you subscribe with an account. You can do so by using your Google or Facebook accounts. However, registration with Google doesn't seem to work so it would be better if you simply use your email address or Facebook account to import contacts.
For some reason, users must provide the app with their first name and gender. You must also type in your phone number so it could find your friends on 5by and connect you with them. However, if you wish to keep things private you can skip this page and not enter your number.
Watch all sort of videos
All clips inside this app are arranged by various criteria into categories like funny, music, top videos and more. You can also check out staff picks which include clips popular on the internet and very interesting.
Simply tap on a category and slide the screen in order to browse through videos. Slide the screen right to skip a video and left to return. You can also rate videos, with a smiley face if you liked it. Share the video easily with friends in your community or with your contacts.
More features
The daily five section includes the top 5 most shared videos on the network. You can also use the search bar to find clips faster, by simply typing in keywords. All videos come from YouTube but fortunately the app doesn't load those annoying ads.
You can favorite clips that you like the most and access them easily in a separate section. Users can also share the videos with friends on other social networks.
The app has lots of notifications, especially when you receive messages or clips shared with you. Fortunately, it lets you make some adjustments and disable notifications so they wouldn't bother you. The app has some issues, especially stability ones as it lags a bit and it may cause your device to overheat.
