This app greets you with really nice front-end, that has a quite appealing design, while the layout is also well thought-out to offer the needed ease of use.
The layout is convenient, with a larger area reserved for the preview and an easy to browse arrangement for the image effects.
The modifications are applied pretty quickly, without annoying delays, some filters needing a slightly longer processing time than others, due to their complexity.
Unfortunately, there are no zooming or panning controls you could use to examine the photos up close. Also, another annoyance comes from the large ad banners that appear in every module of Pic Effects.

The last mentioned one features individual adjustments for several parameters, while for the other filters there are no such extra options for fine-tuning them.
Add cool frames and texts, then share the pics
There are plenty of photo frames you can use to further personalize the pictures and by tapping the corresponding button inside the GUI you will be able to enter the full list. There are several categories you can go through to find the best frame for each picture and occasion.
In case you want to add a bit of text onto a pic, this can be done as well, with custom fonts and colors, while the preview also helps a lot here.
With Pic Effects you can easily send out the saved images to your friends, as it supports several sharing methods, like email or SMS messages and even posting the pics on social networks on the spot.
