RadPad 1.5.2
The website's app provides a nice way in which you can rent out apartments or studios, but it stands apart from other apps by the fact that it lets you talk to landlords directly. It's even useful after you've rented a place, as you can use the app to pay your rent using your credit or debit card.
Sleek interface with plenty of features
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any instructions showing new users how to navigate and access all its features, but the interface is really intuitive so you wouldn't really need them.
All sections of the app are arranged in tabs on the home screen, you simply need to tap on them to navigate, but before that you should register with an account. Use your Facebook profile to sign up or an email address. However, keep in mind that the app seems to have trouble working on certain devices.
Find apartments to rent
The app isn't limited to a certain country of the world, still you won't find not one listing in certain cities simply because it's not that popular there. But, it's ideal for US residents and people who are thinking to move to the States.
You can either enable the GPS and have the app pinpoint you on a map or search for a certain location on a map. You can filter prices, the type of apartment, number of baths, add tags with parking, the gym and more.
There's also the option of searching for a furnished apartment or one that has a washer. If you're not sure about an apartment, the app comes with a section called ‘Renters Who Dig This Pad' which displays how many other users have contacted the landlord and which other pads they've liked.
Contact landlords and pay rent using the app
The app also sorts listings by the closest and it displays the ones it finds on a two mile radius. You can view available apartments in a list or on a map. It also lets you like listings and even contact landlords.
But before you do that, check if the price is lower than the average one in the area and read the description of the place. The app also comes with a section in which you can manage messages and it lets you pay your rent with a debit or credit card, even if your landlord doesn't use RadPad, but this is a feature that isn't yet available.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is really nice, sporting an intuitive design that doesn't really need instructions. |
Function8
It works just fine, but it's best if you use it for finding apartments in the US, as it has the most listings from there. |
Security7
It does require users to provide their phone numbers and lots of personal information especially when you pay rent. |
Battery6
Consumption is moderate, it's better to keep the phone charged in when using this app. |
Price7
It's completely free of charge, although some rents posted on the website might seem a bit steep. |
Compatibility7
It needs devices running Android version 4.1 or later to work, making it inaccessible to some users. |
It's a nice way to find apartments to rent, contact landlords and make payments.
