LeanDroid 3.0.3
Power resources are also lost when connecting to Wifi and mobile data, as it makes your phone use more CPU and even heat up. Lean Droid can be set to disable your internet connection when the phone is locked or the screen is off, helping you save power.
Intuitive interface with only a few settings
The app comes in 14 languages, thanks to contributors who have translated it for others to be able to use the app to the fullest. The interface is quite simplistic itself, with a single page containing settings.
There are no instructions or a tutorial, so you'll left with reading the app's description on Google Play Store in case you need help operating the application. Still, it displays some warnings and messages to let you know how to best tweak settings. The app functions in landscape mode which makes it perfect for tablets.
Save battery and valuable resources
LeanDroid makes it easy to save battery, all you need to do is choose which connections you'd like to disable. You can select from GPS, cellular data or cellular radio, but they require your phone to be rooted. Still, you can disable WiFi and Bluetooth connections for a certain interval, 10 minutes is recommended.
There are some exceptions you can add, you can limit data usage or prevent the app to disable connections if the browser is active. Also, there's the option of maintaining GPS active between a certain interval of time or when it's charging.
The app can also be set to delay for re-enabling data while WiFi connects, delay data only if WiFi last connected and disable cell radio except if has signal. LeanDroid comes with a switch network mode for 4G/3G/2G but it requires your phone to be rooted and running Android Lollipop.
Notifications and premium features
Once you've set the interval in which connections would be disabled, you need to tell the app when to re-enable them. You can have the app re-enable connections when screen is on or after it was unlocked.
There's also an interval of time that you can set and some exceptions that you can add. In addition, it comes with a widget that lets you open settings, tap play/pause button to start/stop the app.
The app comes with controls in the notification bar, making it easy to enable and disable connections. The premium version unlocks some of the features in this app, but Lean Droid is perfectly functional even without them.
