Efficient and easy to use interface
When starting this app for the first time you will notice the lack of visually appealing elements form the design of the interface, which remains rather dull and clearly focused on functionality.
The layout is designed to offer optimal visibility and ease of use, so navigating through the various sections of the application is fairly fluent, while the content is kept well structured.
Also, the functions and commands are all at hand, so you can pick the desired operation right from the main menu. Not so pleasant are the adverts that appear in just about the same area, towards the bottom of the screen and these banners are constantly changing and flashing.
Open archives stored locally or in the cloud
mZIP Phone offers to create or open an archive as soon as you start it and getting to the compressed file you want to look into and unpack some items is pretty simple.
The great news is that this application is able to work with archives you keep in your OneDrive account or stored locally on the phone or on an attached SD card.
Another welcomed feature of this utility is the ability to open password protected archives, but only two types of compressed packages of this kind can be handled, namely ZIP and RAR archives.
Extract compressed files on the go
There are two main functions this application will carry out promptly and you can select the desired action with one tap, then browse to the target files and have them uncompressed on the spot or simply open the package to check out its content.
The processing speed of mZIP Phone depends on the number and size of files involved in the operation, but, generally, the application will take care of things pretty quickly and without any glitches.
The file extraction procedure could be made a bit more simple, as you will have to go through the archive selection and opening tasks twice to be able to activate the individual or multiple file selection.
