iTrade 1.7
If a Windows Phone device is the tool of choice for you, you have at your disposal several interesting alternatives and one of them goes by the name of iTrade.
Clear design, with a nice looking layout
This particular utility has a really friendly appearance, with some smooth graphics and offers two ways of displaying the information, namely through the ModernUI, which is the default choice, or using the ListBoxUI.
Regardless of your choice for the general theme, the navigation will be equally smooth for both styles, with nice colors that highlight the ascending or descending trends.
The ad banners are an ever-present nuisance and once in awhile you will receive some reminders that prompt you to rate the app, but they can be deactivated and sent off with a couple of taps.
Stock details at a glance on the main screen and inside the Start screen
Adding new stocks to the monitoring list is fairly easy to do, mainly thanks to the smart search engine that is built-in and which offers suggestions as soon as you start typing in the search field.
Inside the main screen of iTrade you will have all the stocks neatly organized, with the information refresh automatically at short intervals. All the items you want to keep under scrutiny can also be pinned as live tiles to the Start screen for better visibility and faster access.
Charts and news concerning your stocks at your fingertips
This application has a few aces up its sleeve and they consist of a set of charts that you can check out by sliding the smaller informative sections under the stock list or you can go more in-depth by rotating the screen in landscape mode.
There are quite a few graphs at your disposal and they can comprise the Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) for 12, 26, 50 or 200 days, along with a stock volume line for periods of time starting from one day and reaching 5 years.
Also, there are the financial news that await to be read from the dedicated area under the stock list shown in the main screen.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The smooth looks of the app and the well organized structuring of the content earn this utility a lot of points, as there is only one major drawback from the visual perspective, represented by the adverts. |
Function9
iTrade provides a good deal of details for the selected stocks and it is equipped with a powerful charting component that brings it a lot of value. |
Security7
The application needs to access quite a few areas of the system without any good reason for doing so. |
Battery3
The high rate of refreshing the information makes the battery usage soar to very high values and keeping this app running continuously will drain all the power in a couple of hours. |
Price9
A good deal by all standards, this app has a few drawbacks, but its overall value remains remarkable. |
Compatibility8
Suited for use on Windows Phone 8 and higher handsets, this application only needs a standard screen resolution of at least 480 by 800 pixels. |
